Jaguar F-Type (2021-24)

Jaguar's latest sports car, the F-Type, received a mid-cycle refresh for the 2021 model year and still remains the absolute stunner and performer that it always has been. It was available with three different engine options for the 2021 model year before the former two were dropped in 2022: a 2.0-liter turbo-four known as the P300 with 296 horsepower, a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 known as the R-Dynamic with 380 horsepower, and a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 with two different power outputs. The current entry-level F-Type is dubbed the P450, which produces 444 horsepower and 428 lb-ft of torque, while the top-of-the-line F-Type is the R, which produces 575 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. It launches from zero to 60 mph in four seconds for the P450 and 3.5 seconds for the R. Top speed is 177 mph for the P450 and 186 mph for the R. The four-cylinder, V6, and P450 F-Types send power to the rear wheels, while the F-Type R sends power to all four wheels if necessary. Every version of the latest F-Type is paired to an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

Its interior is driver-focused and features a variety of different materials, such as stitching, chrome trim, and faux-suede accents. The F-Type can be outfitted in various types of leather, suede, and gloss-black pieces as options. Every form of the F-Type comes standard with a 10-inch touchscreen housing Jaguar's InControl Touch Pro infotainment system along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Also available as options are a Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless phone charging, and a premium surround-sound audio system.

Pricing for the latest Jaguar F-Type starts at $74,675 for the P450 and $109,150 for the R. In addition, Jaguar announced that it would add a 75th anniversary special edition to the F-Type lineup for 2024, and that same model year would be the last for the F-Type altogether and possibly the V8 engine for the automaker as well. Like the new Range Rover in the previous post, I was looking forward to seeing the updated, most recent F-Type up close for a while and finally had the chance to do so back in late August at my local Jaguar/Land Rover dealer. I have also seen a few other examples out and about, including the last example pictured below in white. Overall, it may not be as great as the Porsche 911, Mercedes-AMG GT, or even the C8 Corvette, but the Jaguar F-Type is still a beautiful, amazing, and captivating sports car. It will be sad to see it get discontinued after next year, but the F-Type will go down as one of the absolute best and coolest modern Jaguars ever made.
