Koenigsegg Jesko & CC850

Next up in my content from this year's Exotics on Broadway are vehicles featured from another significant marquee supercar manufacturer: Koenigsegg. Like Pagani, Koenigsegg makes some of the coolest, fastest, and most impressive cars on the planet. The first of several Koenigsegg models from Exotics on Broadway 2023 that I want to dive into are two of the Swedish supercar manufacturer's newest models, the Jesko and CC850. The main reason both the Jesko and CC850 are the focus of this specific post is that I was unable to take any more photos of these two examples besides the ones here before they left and as they were leaving the show.

Koenigsegg first debuted the Jesko at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show as the replacement for the Agera range of models. The finalized production version of the Jesko began rolling out starting for the 2021 model year. It is powered by a twin-turbo 5.0-liter V8 with 1280 horsepower and 1106 pound-feet of torque on pump gas, but can make as much as 1600 horsepower on E85. The Jesko's V8 sends power to the rear wheels through a 9-speed multi-clutch LST, or Light Speed Transmission. Its 0-60-mph time is estimated to be around 2.5 seconds. Top speed is expected to reach over 300 mph, but that has yet to be tested and confirmed. The Jesko is named after Koenigsegg founder and CEO Christian von Koenigsegg's father, Jesko von Koenigsegg. It comes in two forms: the standard high-downforce Attack, which is featured in this post, and the high-speed Absolut, which forgoes the large rear wing for two rear flaps among other not-as-significant styling changes.

Every Jesko model comes standard with rear-wheel steering, which helps improve cornering, maneuverability, and steering. It also features Koenigsegg's Autoskin, which opens every body panel on the vehicle with the press of a button. Like nearly every Koenigsegg model ever made, the Jesko and CC850 have dihedral doors and detachable hardtops. In addition, the Autoskin on the Jesko adds sensors that prevent the doors from opening in scenarios where there is an obstruction that could damage the doors. According to Koenigsegg, the Jesko can produce 1764 pounds of downforce at 155 mph and up to 3086 pounds at greater speeds. Its interior is swathed in leather, carbon fiber, aluminum, and other upscale trim, and features a 9-inch center touchscreen with Apple CarPlay compatibility. Only 125 units of the Jesko will ever be built, and each one starts at around $3 million.

The CC850 was revealed during Monterey Car Week last year but wasn't showcased at Exotics on Broadway in 2022. It was presented as a 20th anniversary tribute to the first-ever Koenigsegg production supercar, the CC8S. Powering the CC850 is a twin-turbo 5.0-liter V8 with 1169 horsepower on pump gas, 1385 horsepower on E85, and 1020 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a unique new gearbox known as the Engage Shift System, which can operate as both a 9-speed automatic and a gated 6-speed manual with a real clutch pedal. It also modernizes the CC8S' original design with LED headlights and taillights while staying true to its roots by keeping the analog gauge cluster instead of replacing it with a digital one. Koenigsegg initially planned to produce only 50 units of the CC850 in honor of company founder Christian von Koenigsegg's 50th birthday, but an extra 20 units will be made due to greater demand for the vehicle.

Koenigsegg showcased a blue Jesko Attack and a silver CC850 at this year's rendition of Exotics on Broadway. The Swedish supercar company brought an orange Jesko Attack and a gray Jesko Absolut to last year's Exotics on Broadway show, bringing my total to three Jeskos that I have seen up close. This marks my first time seeing the CC850 up close. I wish I had gotten more photos of this specific Jesko and CC850, but the timing and large crowds made it tough this year. Hope I can get more than just a few photos of each of these Koenigseggs at next year's Exotics on Broadway or in a different context. Out of all Koenigseggs present at Exotics on Broadway this year, these two stood out to me the most since I had never previously seen the CC850 in person before this show, and I absolutely love the Jesko. Overall, the Koenigsegg Jesko and CC850 are amazing and incredible supercars with mind-boggling stats and performance, and two of the coolest and most jaw-dropping vehicles from Exotics on Broadway 2023. In fact, if I could only choose one favorite Koenigsegg, it would be the Jesko because it optimizes everything fantastic and impressive about Koenigsegg and takes that to the next level.
