Pagani Huayra BC Tempesta

This specific Pagani may look familiar to some of you, and that's because it and similar examples have been featured on this site before. However, the most recent instance when I saw another Pagani in person occurred under different and special circumstances, which I will explain in a bit. First, an overview: the BC is the track-focused version of the Huayra that was produced from 2017 to 2019 and is powered by a 6.0-liter AMG twin-turbo V12 with 754 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque paired to a 7-speed automated manual transmission. It launches from zero to 60 mph in under 2.5 seconds and is capable of a top speed greater than 230 mph. The track-focused Huayra was named after the first-ever Pagani customer, Benny Caiola. Notable distinctions of the Huayra BC over the base Huayra include a unique front bumper and rear diffuser, unique side skirts, a large fixed rear wing, and a titanium exhaust system. The BC also has a reduced weight over the base Huayra due to the former's use of carbon triax, a lighter and stronger form of carbon fiber.

In addition, the Huayra BC contains a more spartan interior compared to that of the base Huayra, featuring an increased use of carbon fiber and alcantara trim. Only 20 fixed-roof Huayra BCs were ever built, with each example currently valued at around $3 million. Not only was this specific example one of 14 Paganis on display at last year's Exotics on Broadway in Monterey, but it was the main attraction at a holiday toy drive I attended in my hometown that took place in early December. It has been outfitted in the Tempesta package and a green and bare carbon exterior with white and yellow contrasting stripes and motorsports-style number decals on the door panels. This marked my first time ever seeing a Pagani in my hometown and remains one of the absolute coolest cars I have ever seen up close without having to travel out of town to see it. Overall, Pagani makes some of the coolest and most impressive cars on the planet, and the Huayra is one of my all-time favorites. Its stunning design, impeccable attention to detail,  amazing performance figures, and extreme rarity place the Pagani Huayra in the highest tier of vehicles above nearly all others. Opportunities to see vehicles like these up close only come around once in a blue moon, and these moments are special occasions every time they occur.
