2014 Los Angeles Auto Show: Porsche 911 Carrera GTS 991

At the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show, one of the vehicles Porsche debuted was the new 911 Carrera GTS, which slots in between the Carrera S and the GT3 in the 911 lineup. Just like every other 911, the Carrera GTS is powered by a 3.8-liter flat-six placed at the rear of the vehicle, only this time it produces 424 horsepower, an increase of 30 horses over the Carrera S. The GTS variant is available with either RWD or AWD, and comes standard with a PDK dual-clutch gearbox. The coupe goes from 0-62 mph in four seconds flat, while the convertible takes 4.2 seconds. All GTS models include PASM active dampers, a lowered ride height of 10 mm, and the Sport Chrono Package. Plenty of alcantara trim adorns the interior. Other exterior mods consist of a sports exhaust system, the Carrera 4's wide body, and 20-inch matte black wheels. The new Porsche 911 Carrera GTS is priced at $114,000 for the coupe, $120,000 for the AWD coupe, $126,100 for the convertible, and $130,900 for the AWD convertible. It's a great car, and I already know that the GTS will make an excellent driver's car, just like pretty much every other 911 model. As I had mentioned before, my personal favorite 911 is the Turbo/S (out of the entire 991 range, at least). Pictured below is the current Porsche 911 Carrera S.
