2023 Mercedes-AMG E63 S Wagon

Featured here is the latest rendition of Mercedes-AMG's flagship fast wagon, the E63 S. It received a mid-cycle refresh for the 2021 model year, and 2023 will be the last model year for this generation of the E63 wagon. Powering the newest E63 S Wagon is a 4.0-liter twin-turbo AMG V8 producing 603 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque, sending power to all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic gearbox. It launches from zero to 60 mph in three seconds and carries a top speed limited to 180 mph. The latest E63 Wagon also has a quarter-mile time of just over 11 seconds. Other upgrades the E63 wagon has over the standard E-Class Wagon and E-Class All-Terrain include a suspension overhaul, bigger brakes, and a rear-drive only Drift mode. Inside the E63 Wagon is a luxury cruiser with enough space to fit groceries, luggage, and an entire family comfortably.

Pricing for the 2023 Mercedes-AMG E63 S Wagon starts at $122,250. This is the only example of the most up-to-date E63 Wagon I have seen in person thus far, which was on display at my local Audi/Porsche dealer. This particular example also happens to be the Final Edition, finished in a Matte Graphite Grey Magno exterior with black accents and a gray-and-black nappa leather interior with yellow contrast stitching and carbon fiber trim. A "Final Edition" badge is attached to the center console, and only 999 total units of the E63 S Final Edition will be built. This one is offered at $207,000 when I went to see it up close early last month and still currently available. The standard E-Class has been redesigned for 2024, and the next AMG E63 will be hybridized with either a four-cylinder, V6, or V8. As of now, the specific engine that will be part of the hybrid powertrain in the next E63 has yet to be determined. Overall, the Mercedes-AMG E63 S Wagon is the king of fast wagons, the ultimate daily driver, one of the best all-around vehicles ever made, and my dream car. It looks and sounds amazing, is pretty rare, leaves most vehicles in the dust, and has the added practicality of a wagon compared to its sedan form. When I first found out that my favorite local showroom had the newest E63 Wagon in stock, I had to make a visit to see it up close, and I am so thankful I did. I absolutely love fast wagons, and there isn't a better all-around fast wagon than the Mercedes-AMG E63 S.
