Dodge Ram SRT-10

It may not look like it to most people, but during the early 2000s, Dodge created one of the coolest and craziest trucks of all time in the Ram SRT-10. It was built from 2004 to 2006 and more focused on street and track performance than anything else. Powering the Ram SRT-10 is the 8.3-liter supercharged V10 from the third-gen Viper producing 500 horsepower and 525 lb-ft of torque. It was offered in either single-cab or quad-cab configurations, and each configuration has some different specs and stats. The regular-cab Ram SRT-10 launches from zero to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds and uses a 6-speed Tremec T-56 manual transmission, while the quad cab does the same in 5.3 seconds and uses a 4-speed automatic gearbox. Both configurations are capable of a top speed of 154 mph. This set the record for the fastest truck ever made, but i feel like some new and upcoming trucks will smash that record in no time.

Compared to the regular, run-of-the-mill Dodge Ram from the mid 2000s, the Ram SRT-10 features a custom-tuned suspension, a large hood scoop, a tonneau cover with an attached spoiler, and "Viper-Powered" badges on the sides of the hood scoop. Its interior features silver lining in the doors and armrests, race-inspired suede-trimmed leather seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a red start button, Viper gauges, and a Viper shift knob. The Ram SRT-10 was produced in much more limited numbers than the standard Dodge Ram, with just over 10,000 total examples produced over a three-year span. The closest Ram truck to the SRT-10 being produced currently is the Hellcat-powered, off-road-focused TRX, which is also insane but more common. I've only seen a few Dodge Ram SRT-10s up close, including the one above, and although I am not the biggest fan of Ram trucks in general, I have a soft spot for the Ram SRT-10 due to its overall insanity, coolness, and exclusivity. These factors, along with its pure performance and sleeper status, have made me appreciate the Ram SRT-10 more than most trucks.
