2005 Bentley Continental GT

Featured here is a first-generation Bentley Continental GT, the Flying B brand's quintessential ultra-luxury and sporty coupe. It first hit the market in 2003 and lasted until 2011, when the Continental GT was redesigned for its second generation. Powering the first-gen Continental GT is a 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12 producing 552 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic gearbox are standard. It launches from zero to 60 mph in around five seconds and can hit a top speed of almost 200 mph. Its interior is outfitted in leather, wood, and aluminum trim along with a few digital screens in the dashboard. The backseats in the Continental GT are more comfortable than in other coupes and convertibles, but not as comfortable as those in traditional four-door luxury vehicles.

I happened to stumble on this one over two months ago parked on the side of the road after initially driving past it. I rarely see vehicles for sale parked on the side of the road that are as nice and fascinating as this one, so I had to pull over to take a closer look out of curiosity. This specific example, which I highly doubt is still available, was being offered for about $40,000, which is what many first-gen Bentley Continental GTs are valued at nowadays. In addition, when passing by the same spot with this specific vehicle still there two days after first seeing it, I had to make another stop there to take a closer look at a different vehicle for sale parked next to it, also out of curiosity. This other vehicle was a 2015 Mercedes-Benz C300. Overall, the first-gen Bentley Continental GT is a beautiful and great luxury and performance car. It is also a bargain compared to other similar vehicles, but expect to pay up when maintaining a vehicle like this.
