Lotus Exige (2012-)
The Lotus Exige was given a redesign back in 2012, and it looks really nice. Too bad the current Exige will not be available stateside because it's a great car. This may have also applied to the previous Exige, but certain types of people would have a difficult time getting in and out of the current Exige due to its tight cockpit. It is powered by a 3.5-liter supercharged V6 producing 345 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, which is paired to a six-speed manual. 0-60 mph is accomplished in 3.8 seconds and its top speed is 170 mph. Just like most Lotus models, the Exige is lightweight, which gives it an advantage around the track. For those of you who don't know, Lotus founder Colin Chapman's philosophy was to "simplify, then add lightness." Overall, the current Lotus Exige is a brilliant sports car, but it's not as appealing to me as some of its competitors (e.g. Porsche 911, Jaguar F-Type, Corvette Stingray).
