The GTC4Lusso is an evolution of the FF, Ferrari's front-engine 2+2 supercar from the early 2010s. It made its debut for 2017 as more of a mid-cycle refresh of the FF than a complete redesign. Both the FF and GTC4Lusso served as more practical, family-friendly alternatives to many of Ferrari's traditional sports cars for much of the 2010s. Powering the GTC4Lusso is a naturally-aspirated 6.3-liter V12 producing 680 horsepower and 514 pound-feet of torque sending power to all four wheels. Also offered with the GTC4Lusso is a T version powered by a 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 with 602 horsepower and 561 pound-feet of torque sending power to the rear wheels. Both engines and powertrain setups in the GTC4Lusso are paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. It launches from zero to 60 mph in the low three-second range and tops out at around 200 mph. Four-wheel steering is standard on the GTC4Lusso, which is a significant contributor to the vehicle's great handling. Like some cars in Ferrari's portfolio, the GTC4Lusso's suspension has been tuned for more grand touring comfort than all-out performance, but its performance specs are still quite impressive. Inside, the GTC4Lusso can be fitted with a variety of high-quality trim materials and seat types. A 10.3-inch infotainment touchscreen display is standard, while an additional front passenger touchscreen display is optional. One of the GTC4Lusso's main advantages over its grand touring supercar competitors is increased cargo space due to its hatchback design.
Production for the Ferrari GTC4Lusso concluded after 2020, with pricing starting between $260,000 and $300,000 when new depending on its powertrain and options. Maranello's most practical vehicle currently on sale is now the Purosangue SUV, which I have yet to see in person. Pictured here is the latest example of the GTC4Lusso that I have seen up close, which appeared at the third car show I attended during the first weekend of May. For reference, the most recent GTC4Lusso I saw in person before last Saturday was at last year's Exotics on Broadway during Monterey Car Week. This specific example earned a dedicated post because it was one of my favorite cars I had seen at the third car show I attended this past weekend, and it had been some time since I last seen a GTC4Lusso in person before viewing the one featured here. Most importantly, the GTC4Lusso is one of the most underrated Prancing Horses of all time, primarily due to its combination of amazing performance and added practicality and comfort over traditional Ferrari sports cars and similar supercars. Stay tuned for more content from the third car show I attended during the first weekend of May coming in the next few posts.
