The first weekend of May has been a busy weekend for local car shows, and it began on Friday evening with the latest edition of Rods on the Bluff, a car show primarily centered around classic hot rods that occurs four times a year on the first Friday of the month. This month's Rods on the Bluff is the first one I attended in about a year. Although I am less likely to attend classic American hot rod shows nowadays compared to shows and meets with supercars, European imports, and more variety, Rods on the Bluff is worth attending more than other classic hot rod shows that I have previously attended. This is in part due to the location and time where and when it normally takes place. The surrounding area of Rods on the Bluff features a great sunset viewpoint and a rather upscale retail complex that high-end vehicles are likely to be found at. The selection of classic cars that are usually displayed at Rods on the Bluff is pretty sweet as well. In addition, there was a greater incentive for me to attend this particular Rods on the Bluff, since the next one will not be taking place until September. Overall, my first Rods on the Bluff in about a year was certainly worth the experience.
