Ferrari 612 Scaglietti (2004-10)

The 612 Scaglietti was Ferrari's 2+2 grand tourer for much of the 2000s. It made its debut for 2004 to replace the 456 in Ferrari's lineup. Powering the 612 Scaglietti is a 5.7-liter naturally-aspirated V12 producing 533 horsepower and 434 lb-ft of torque paired to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed F1 automated manual gearbox. It launches from zero to 60 mph in around four seconds and is capable of a top speed of almost 200 mph. The 612 features an interior typical of Ferrari during the mid to late 2000s, which contains leather and aluminum trim along with a center screen controlled by buttons and knobs. Production for the 612 Scaglietti ended in 2010 and was replaced by the FF in 2011. The average 612 Scaglietti on the secondary market currently sells in the $90k-100k range, with examples equipped with the stick shift and certain special editions commanding a significant premium over standard since these versions are much less common. This particular 612 was on display at my local Cars and Coffee back in October, and before this most recent sighting, it has been at least five years since the last time I can recall seeing a 612 in person. In all, it may not be my favorite or the most impressive Prancing Horse, but the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti is an amazing, beautiful, and underappreciated exotic supercar.
