McLaren 675LT Spider

The 675LT is a faster, more track-focused, and more exclusive version of the McLaren 650S. It made its debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show and was in production for the 2016 and 2017 model years. Powering the 675LT is a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 with 666 horsepower (675 PS) and 516 lb-ft of torque mated to a 7-speed automatic gearbox. It makes the dash from zero to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds and is capable of a top speed of 203 mph. Distinguishing the 675LT from the 650S further are more aggressive front and rear fascias, characterized by an extended front splitter with carbon fiber winglets, a larger rear spoiler, carbon fiber door sills, additional rear vents, and round center exhausts. The basis of the 675LT is a monocell carbon fiber chassis; along with its unique body panels and add-ons, these are designed to reduce weight and improve aerodynamics as much as possible. The 675LT Spider's folding roof takes 16 seconds to operate, whether to put it up or down. It also retains many of the same standard features as the base 650S.

McLaren only produced 500 units each of the 675LT Coupe and Spider, with average values currently ranging between the mid $200,000s to the low $400,000s. The 675LT has been replaced by the 765LT following the release of the current 720S. I have seen at least six 675LTs up close so far, with most of them being Spiders including the one above that I saw most recently at my local Cars & Coffee nearly three months ago. In all, the McLaren 675LT is an amazing and majestic supercar with tremendous flair and unbelievable performance. Like with every Long Tail and ultimate McLaren model, the 675LT will steal my attention and pique my interest due to its increased performance and greater exclusivity over more mainstream exotic cars.
