Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk

Fiat-Chrysler enjoyed great success with its Dodge Challenger and Charger Hellcat models. Since the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT was already a best-selling SRT performance vehicle, it made the most sense for the Grand Cherokee to be the next vehicle after the Challenger and Charger to receive the Hellcat treatment. Jeep combined Hellcat performance with family SUV practicality to create the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, which was introduced in 2018 and became one of the fastest, most powerful, and craziest SUVs ever made. The Hellcat motor is a 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V8 producing 707 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque in the Trackhawk, which has slightly lower power figures than those of the Challenger and Charger Hellcat. Power is sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox. It makes the dash from zero to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and is capable of a top speed of 180 mph. Besides the engine, the best way to tell the Trackhawk apart from the SRT Grand Cherokee is the Trackhawk and Supercharged badging on the liftgate and front doors.

On the track, the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk doesn't handle as well as many traditional sports cars, but it can beat many traditional sports cars in a straight line. It can also tow up to 7,200 pounds, which gives the Trackhawk a clear advantage over the Challenger and Charger Hellcat and other traditional performance cars. Inside, the Trackhawk is adorned in leather and utilizes the latest technology, highlighted by an 8.4-inch touchscreen display with FCA's Uconnect infotainment system. Since the regular Grand Cherokee was redesigned for 2022, the Trackhawk is now out of production but carried a starting price of around $90,000 when new. I anticipate and hope that a new Grand Cherokee SRT and Trackhawk are on their way to production within the next few years. After the introduction of the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, FCA debuted two other Hellcat-powered vehicles in the form of the Dodge Durango Hellcat and the Ram TRX. In all, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is an incredible vehicle that holds its own against traditional sports cars and other premium performance SUVs. It does not have the prestige that other premium performance SUVs have, but it is a great combination of insane performance and family SUV practicality in one car.

Included below are photos I took of two examples of the previous Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT that I spotted fairly recently.
