Audi RS6 Avant GT

The RS6 Avant GT is a limited-production special edition of Audi's flagship fast wagon. It was announced and revealed for the 2025 model year as a final version of sorts for the current-generation Audi RS6 Avant. The RS6 GT retains the same engine and power figures as the RS6 Performance: a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with 621 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque paired to an eight-speed automatic gearbox sending power to all four wheels. Zero to 60 mph in the RS6 GT takes 3.2 seconds, a tenth of a second quicker than the RS6 Performance, while the RS6 GT tops out at 190 mph. The primary additions to the RS6 GT over lesser versions of the RS6 consist of cosmetic enhancements and minor mechanical upgrades. More specifically, the RS6 GT features restyled front and rear fascias, a larger rear wing, a set of six-spoke 22-inch wheels, and additional air intakes behind the front wheels for reduced air pressure in the wheel arches and improved cooling of the brakes. While optional on the RS6 Performance, carbon-ceramic brake rotors, a carbon-fiber hood, and carbon-fiber front fenders come standard on the RS6 GT. The RS6 GT also gains a stiffer suspension and a slightly lower ride height for improved handling over the RS6 Performance.

Only 660 total units of the Audi RS6 Avant GT were built worldwide, with 85 of those allocated for the U.S. market and each unit carrying a starting price of just over $200,000. Every RS6 GT allocated for the United States is outfitted in a white exterior with black, red, and gray graphics and white six-spoke wheels. The RS6 GT's design is inspired by those of the 2020 RS6 GTO Concept and 1980s Audi Quattro IMSA GTO race car, making it more likely to turn heads than most other fast wagons. Pictured here is the first RS6 GT example I have seen in person, which occurred at the most recent car show I attended on Saturday, a first-ever charitable one known as Cars for the Cause at a local hospital. While this particular show featured several amazing rare and valuable European exotic supercars, sports cars, and classics on display, the RS6 Avant GT has to be my winner of what I like to call the "Carson is the Type of Guy" Award. Its unique paint scheme and other styling distinctions make this ultra-rare and special fast wagon look super cool, and the RS6 Avant GT's combination of cosmetic upgrades and great exclusivity turn it into one of the most incredible fast wagons in existence. Stay tuned for more of what the most recent Cars for the Cause show had to offer coming up in the next two posts.
