Koenigsegg Regera (Exotics on Broadway 2024)

The Regera is the first Koenigsegg supercar to feature a hybrid powertrain. It debuted for 2016 and is motivated by a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 paired to three electric motors generating a combined 1100 horsepower, 1475 pound-feet of torque, and up to 1500 horsepower on E85 ethanol. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a single-speed Direct Drive transmission. The launch from zero to 60 mph in the Regera occurs in 2.7 seconds, while its top speed is rated at 255 mph. The Regera held the 0-249-0 mph world record of just over 31 seconds until Koenigsegg shattered this world record with the Jesko Absolut earlier this year. Key components of the Regera include an adjustable suspension, active aerodynamics, a carbon fiber and kevlar body, dihedral doors, a removable hardtop, a premium interior, and Autoskin, the latter of which opens and closes the doors, front trunk, and engine cover at the same time with the press of a button.

Koenigsegg produced a total of 80 examples of the Regera from 2016 to 2022, with the average Regera fetching at least $3 million on the resale market. This year's Exotics on Broadway displayed one Regera as part of its primary theme of Koenigsegg's 30th anniversary compared to two each of the past two years. In addition, the example pictured in this post returned to Exotics on Broadway this year and is one of the two Regeras that appeared at last year's show. Overall, the Koenigsegg Regera is an insane, beautiful, and outstanding hypercar. Although it is no longer in production, the Regera is unique and special in the automotive world and could pass as a brand new vehicle today.

Pagani Huayra/Roadster/BC

The Huayra represents Pagani's second-ever generation of supercars. It first debuted in 2011 as the Zonda's replacement followed by the Roadster and track-focused BC variants for 2017 and the Roadster BC for 2019. Powering the Huayra is a 6.0-liter twin-turbo Mercedes-AMG V12 with 730 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque in the base Coupe, and 754 horsepower and 760 pound-feet of torque in the Roadster. The BC Coupe has been upgraded by 24 horses over the standard Coupe to 754 horsepower, while the Roadster BC increases those figures even further to 791 horsepower and 774 pound-feet of torque. Each of these versions has its V12 paired to a seven-speed automated manual gearbox. The standard Huayra Coupe and Roadster launch from zero to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds, while their BC versions shave a few tenths of a second off of that 0-60 mph time. Top speed for the Huayra, Huayra BC, and their Roadster variants are rated at close to 240 mph.

Every fixed-roof Huayra comes standard with gullwing doors, while every Huayra Roadster features conventional doors due to the latter's removable hardtop. Besides the removable hardtop and power upgrades, the Huayra Roadster adds a slightly revised front fascia, rear end, and engine cover, front fender vents next to the side mirrors, and specific wheels, among other minor changes. As for the more track-focused BC, it adds more aggressive aerodynamics in the form of a larger front splitter and rear diffuser, front canards, a fixed rear wing, an air intake roof scoop, and a titanium exhaust system. In addition, the Huayra BC is primarily constructed of carbon triax, a lighter and stronger form of carbon fiber. Like other Pagani models and supercars of its caliber, the Huayra contains a meticulously crafted interior inspired by aviation and adorned in only materials of the utmost quality.

Pagani built only 100 examples each of the base Huayra Coupe and Roadster, 20 units of the Huayra BC Coupe, and 40 units of the Huayra Roadster BC, with production for nearly all versions of the Huayra concluding by the end of 2022. A typical Pagani Huayra is currently worth at least $3-4 million on the resale market regardless of version. This year's Exotics on Broadway displayed six different Pagani Huayra examples, consisting of three Roadsters, one Coupe, one BC Coupe, and one Roadster BC. The matte black and red carbon Huayra Roadsters returned from last year's show, while the white and blue Huayra Roadster BC made its third consecutive appearance at Exotics on Broadway this year. All other Huayra examples pictured in this post made their first appearance at Exotics on Broadway since I first started attending this show two years ago. This is a decrease from 14 different Pagani Huayra examples at last year's show but still an impressive display and selection nonetheless. Although I have now seen my fair share of them and it is no longer the newest Pagani supercar, I still absolutely love the Huayra. Its amazing performance stats, stunning design, and top-notch quality and engineering help maintain the Pagani Huayra's status as one of my all-time favorite cars.

Koenigsegg CC850

The CC850 is a modernized tribute to Koenigsegg's first-ever production supercar, the CC8S. It was introduced in 2022 to commemorate the CC8S' 20th anniversary and is motivated by a twin-turbo 5.0-liter V8 with 1169 horsepower on pump gas, 1020 pound-feet of torque, and up to 1385 horsepower on E85 ethanol. Unlike other Koenigsegg models, the CC850's V8 is paired to the Engage Shift System, which serves as both a nine-speed automatic and a gated six-speed manual with a third clutch pedal. It can launch from zero to 60 mph in around three seconds and has a projected top speed of close to 300 mph. Compared to the vehicle that it is inspired by, the CC850 gains LED headlights and taillights while maintaining the analog gauge cluster setup.

Only 70 examples of the Koenigsegg CC850 will ever be built, with each unit carrying a starting price of approximately $3.7 million. Pictured in this post is the second-ever CC850 that I have seen in person so far, which occurred at this year’s Exotics on Broadway in Monterey last month. The first one I saw up close was a silver example that appeared at last year’s Exotics on Broadway show, and I was fortunately able to snap more photos of the CC850 the second time around this year. Overall, the Koenigsegg CC850 is a an amazing and impressive masterpiece and retro supercar. Koenigsegg directly provided this all-white CC850 as part of its fleet for this year's Exotics on Broadway show and other Monterey Car Week events, and although the Jesko remains my favorite of the bunch, I am grateful to have seen another CC850 up close and taken more photos of it.

Pagani Zonda Cinque

The Zonda was the first Pagani supercar, and the Cinque is one of the Zonda's many limited-production versions. The Cinque was added to the Zonda portfolio in 2009 as a supposed final edition model, with other more limited-edition and one-off examples to follow soon after. Powering the Zonda Cinque is a naturally aspirated 7.3-liter Mercedes-AMG V12 with 669 horsepower and 575 pound-feet of torque paired to a 6-speed automated manual transmission. It launches from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.4 seconds and tops out at 217 mph. Each Zonda Cinque example is distinguished by a two-tone carbon fiber and body color exterior, an extended front splitter, unique side skirts, rear diffuser, and bumper canards, and an air intake scoop on the roof. This particular version of the Zonda is constructed of carbo-titanium for increased strength and durability over standard carbon fiber, while its suspension utilizes magnesium and titanium components. Like every other Pagani, the Zonda Cinque features a meticulously detailed cabin with a timeless aviation-inspired design using only the finest materials.

Pagani produced only five units of the Zonda Cinque, hence the “Cinque” part of its name that translates to “five” in Italian. A roadster version of the Zonda Cinque was also built, which has practically the same specifications as the coupe and is limited to five total units as well. This particular Zonda variant was priced at close to $2.2 million when new, while one Zonda Cinque example once sold for as much as $15 million. Exotics on Broadway 2024 marked my first time ever seeing any Pagani Zonda model in person, making this a special and significant milestone in my automotive photography/blogging journey. In addition, this most recent rendition of Exotics on Broadway was the first one that I attended that displayed both a Zonda and a few Utopias, while the previous two shows featured only Huayras in terms of Pagani vehicles on display. Overall, the Pagani Zonda Cinque is an absolutely spectacular and unreal supercar. Besides the Pagani Utopia and some others, the Zonda Cinque was one of the top vehicles from this year's Exotics on Broadway that I was looking forward to seeing up close for the first time the most, and I am extremely grateful for this opportunity.
