Koenigsegg built only 14 units of the CCR from 2004 to 2006 before replacing it with a further evolution known as the CCX for 2007. This year's Exotics on Broadway marks the first time I have ever seen the CCR in person. The first two production vehicles in Koenigsegg history were never officially sold in North America, but I was luckily able to catch a CCR at this year's rendition of the biggest show of Monterey Car Week, especially since its primary theme was Koenigsegg's 30th anniversary. This particular CCR example made it to this year's Monterey Car Week last month all the way from Alberta, Canada, where it was registered and mainly resides. It may get overlooked nowadays compared to other supercars, but the CCR is one of the earliest and rarest Koenigseggs of all time. Its performance and specs are no longer record-breaking, but they remain impressive to this day. In all, these aspects make the CCR an underrated and incredibly intriguing mid-2000s supercar.
