The Utopia is the third and current generation of high-end, low-volume supercars from Pagani. It was introduced for 2023 as the successor to the Huayra. Powering the Utopia is an AMG twin-turbo V12 producing 852 horsepower and 811 pound-feet of torque paired to either a seven-speed manual or seven-speed automated single-clutch transmission sending power to the rear wheels. It propels from zero to 60 mph in around three seconds and tops out at 217 mph. Standard equipment on the Pagani Utopia consist of a carbo-titanium structure, leather straps on the front and rear body panels, butterfly doors, 21-inch front wheels, 22-inch rear wheels, and Pagani-specific fitted luggage. Like its exterior and mechanical components, the Utopia's interior features a meticulous attention to detail, lined in leather, carbon fiber, and aluminum trim. Also standard is one digital display directly in front of the driver that contains the infotainment system, navigation, and backup camera. I admire that the gear linkages are exposed and easily visible with the Pagani Utopia's manual gearbox, and its key is shaped like the actual car.
Pagani will build only 99 Utopia coupes in total, with each unit carrying a starting price of close to $2.2 million. Options and dealer markup will push the Utopia's final cost up to around $3 million. Pictured in this post is the fourth Pagani Utopia example that I have ever seen in person and the first Utopia and second Pagani I have ever seen in my hometown, finished in green carbon. This was on display at the latest Calicreaming show that took place on Saturday, and I was shocked and blown away to find it at a car show that primarily showcased heavily modified tuners, ricers, sports cars, and other lesser enthusiast vehicles. The Pagani Utopia's presence alone made Calicreaming a fantastic show worth attending for its price of admission, and it was the coolest and my favorite car I saw this past weekend by a country mile. As for the other Pagani Utopia examples I have seen in person thus far, they were all at last year's Exotics on Broadway show and consisted of two coupes and a roadster. The only other Pagani I have seen in my hometown was a Huayra BC Tempesta at a holiday toy drive meet two years ago. Overall, the Pagani Utopia has become one of my all-time favorite cars, and I am extremely thankful that I attended my first Calicreaming show and got a great look at this absolute masterpiece on Saturday.
