Porsche 911 Turbo S (992.2)

The Turbo S is one of the latest versions of the 992-generation Porsche 911 to receive a mid-cycle refresh. This mid-cycle refresh went into effect for the 2026 model year, with its most significant updates being revised front- and rear-end designs and the adoption of a form of the 992.2 911 Carrera GTS' T-Hybrid system. Powering the most up-to-date 911 Turbo S is a twin-turbo 3.6-liter flat-six paired to an electric motor producing a combined 701 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. The 992.2 911 Turbo S' horsepower figure of 701 is a bump of 61 over that of the 992.1 911 Turbo S. Both an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive are standard on the latest Porsche 911 Turbo S. It launches from zero to 60 mph in close to two seconds, while Porsche claims a top speed of 200 mph for the 992.2 911 Turbo S. This year's mid-cycle refresh on the Turbo S also adds new tires, larger and improved brakes, a new exhaust, improved active aero and engine cooling, and an updated version of the Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control System (PDCC).

Pricing for the newest Porsche 911 Turbo S starts at $272,650. The example pictured here is the first 992.2 Turbo S that I have seen in person, which occurred at my local Porsche dealer right after the local Porsche Club Cars and Coffee concluded on the 4th of July. This particular vehicle was also the main reason for my latest visit to my local Porsche showroom, as I found out at the PCA Cars and Coffee from the dealership's sales manager that morning that it was in their showroom. This presented my best opportunity to see the latest 911 Turbo S up close for the first time, and things worked out perfectly. While it was already sold and now no longer in the showroom, this specific Turbo S looks fantastic outfitted in an interesting shade of dark green with dark gray wheels and Turbonite Porsche badges. Leading up to the most recent PCA Cars and Coffee and visit to my local Porsche showroom on Saturday, I was informed online that my local dealership also received a different 992.2 Turbo S example at the same time as the one pictured here, which was outfitted in bright red and a different set of wheels. However, the new owner of that other 992.2 Turbo S example picked it up and took it home before I could see it up close, but I was fine with settling for seeing and getting photos of only the example featured in this post. Overall, its significant updates and revisions allow the Turbo S to remain the best all-around version of the Porsche 911.
