The vehicle above may be a regular Mercedes-Benz S-Class to many, but it is more special to people like me since it is modified by Mercedes-Benz tuning specialist Brabus. For all I know, this specific S-Class, the S550, could be completely stock minus a handful of accessories. Anyway, assuming this is a Brabus B50, the 4.7-liter V8 from the standard S550 is upgraded to 520 horsepower and 604 lb-ft of torque, increasing the S550's top speed up to 186 mph. Its interior remains one of the nicest, most comfortable, and most sophisticated in the auto industry.
The W222-gen Mercedes-Benz S-Class is a great luxury sedan, and Brabus does an amazing job improving its performance. I saw the above example at a few car meets, and it certainly stood out among all of the Japanese sports cars, tuners, modern American muscle cars, and BMWs on display alongside it. However, the redesigned 2022 S-Class has stolen some of the spotlight away from the previous generation, and I plan to feature the new S-Class in another post in the near future.
Included below are some photos I took of Non-Brabus, Non-AMG W222-gen S-Class models.
