Here we have my second post about the current 992-gen Porsche 911 GT3 RS on Carson's Car Pics in the past four months. This is inspired by the fact that I saw two different and additional examples up close so far in 2024, and I was very impressed by both examples, especially the second one below. Before going any further, a brief overview: the GT3 RS was added to the 992-gen Porsche 911 portfolio for the 2023 model year and is powered by a 4.0-liter naturally-aspirated flat-six with 518 horsepower and 342 pound-feet of torque paired to a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox sending power to the rear wheels. It launches from zero to 60 mph in 2.7 seconds and can reach a top speed of 184 mph. The GT3 RS' distinctive elements from other versions of the 992-gen Porsche 911 consist of a
massive rear wing and other significant aerodynamic components like
bigger vents on the hood and fenders. Like its GT3 counterpart, the newest 911 GT3 RS comes standard with a
control-arm front suspension, electrically-assisted steering, adaptive dampers, and a 9000-rpm redline.
Pricing for the 992-gen Porsche 911 GT3 RS starts at $242,950. As for the two most recent examples that I've seen in person that are featured in this post, the first of these two is a Tribute to Carrera RS Special Edition on display at my local Audi/Porsche dealer in late February. The second of these two was on display at my local Porsche club's cars and coffee meet last month, featuring a beautiful shade of light blue and Neodyme alloy wheels. Overall, the 992-gen GT3 RS is one of the coolest and most impressive
Porsche 911 models to date, my favorite Porsche currently in production, and one of my favorite
Porsche vehicles of all time. It looks amazing and has been optimized to perform its best at the track. In addition, its cool factor has been elevated due to its greater exclusivity than most other Porsche 911 models.
