Classic Volkswagens of Chukchansi Park (5/30/25)

This week's content has been brought to you from a recent and mostly unexpected mini show of classic Volkswagens. This occurred Friday evening at a minor league baseball game I was attending, and I was kind of pleasantly surprised to notice this mini car show taking place inside the ballpark alongside the baseball game. It featured a set of almost entirely vintage Beetles and Buses, with the 50s/60s Beetle and first two generations of Bus/Microbus/Transporter being represented well. The only classic Volkswagen on display at this mini car show that was not a Beetle or Bus was a Karmann Ghia finished in light blue, which I applaud for standing out and being different from the rest of the classic Volkswagens. Other aspects that I appreciated the most from this mini vintage Volkswagen show were the classic Porsche Fuchs-style wheels on the two-tone maroon and white Beetle, the sleeker profile of the lowered red Beetle convertible, many of the amenities that each Bus example had to offer, and the serious passion and dedication placed into every classic Volkswagen on display there that evening. Overall, I may not be the biggest Volkswagen brand enthusiast, but it was cool seeing this rather unexpected mini car show while catching minor league baseball action Friday evening. Enjoy and stay locked in to Carson's Car Pics for more content next week!
