Lamborghini Huracan STO (2021-24)

 

The STO is the most-track-focused road-going Lamborghini Huracan. It was added to the now-previous mid-engine V10 Huracan lineup for 2021 as the replacement for the Performante. The Huracan's naturally-aspirated 5.2-liter V10 produces 631 horsepower and 417 pound-feet of torque in the STO, sending power to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. It launches from zero to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds and tops out at 193 mph. The STO is characterized by more aggressive and distinctive bodywork than other versions of the Huracan, such as its front air vents, roof-mounted air intake, fin above the engine cover, and large rear wing that can be positioned in three different settings. Other standard features on the Huracan STO include an almost fully carbon fiber body, rear-axle steering, climate control, and a center touchscreen display. Besides leather trim and some other essentials, the Huracan STO's cabin has been mostly stripped down to conserve as much weight as possible for optimal track performance. 

Production for the Lamborghini Huracan STO concluded in 2024, with the Huracan's successor known as the Temerario now on the horizon. Pricing for the Huracan STO started at a shade over $330,000 when new. This particular Huracan STO appeared at the most recent car show I attended on Saturday, the February 2025 edition of my local PCA (Porsche Club of America) Cars and Coffee. Not only was it one of my favorite cars displayed at this meet, it was an example that I had not previously seen in person before, as it was recently purchased by its current owner. In addition, the other main reason why I am dedicating a post to this specific Huracan STO is that before Saturday, I had not seen a Huracan STO up close since last year's Exotics on Broadway. Although this is not my preferred spec, the yellow with contrasting blue accents combination looks fantastic on the Huracan STO. Overall, the Huracan STO is an absolutely amazing track-focused supercar and one of the coolest versions of the previous-generation mid-engine V10 Lamborghini.
