Aston Martin DBS Superleggera (2019-22)

The DBS Superleggera is Aston Martin's sportier, more aggressive version of its now previous DB11 grand tourer. It was introduced for the 2019 model year to replace the DBS before it and is powered by a twin-turbo 5.2-liter V12 with 715 horsepower and 663 pound-feet of torque mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The DBS Superleggera goes from zero to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds and is capable of a top speed of 211 mph. It may not handle as well as many supercars, but the DBS Superleggera performs like a supercar in several ways while cruising in the lap of luxury. Leather power-adjustable sport seats with heat and memory settings are standard in the DBS Superleggera in addition to an eight-inch infotainment display, and the vehicle can be optioned in any combination of leather, carbon fiber, wood, or chrome trim.

Aston Martin dropped the "Superleggera" name from the DBS for 2022, and production for the most recent DBS concluded in 2023 with a final edition known as the DBS 770 Ultimate. The Aston Martin DBS Superleggera generally sells in the $300,000 range on the resale market. This particular example in gray was on display at a car meet I attended on Saturday morning, which marked the third DBS Superleggera that I've seen in person and the second DBS Superleggera that I've taken photos of. However, unlike the first time I took photos of a DBS Superleggera at last year's Exotics on Broadway, I was able to snap plenty more photos the second time around much more recently on Saturday. Overall, the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera is a stunning and impressive performance-focused grand tourer, and I'm thankful to have received another opportunity to see one up close, take more photos, and post about it.
