Cisitalia 202 GT

Most of you may have never seen or heard of this vehicle before; this is the Cisitalia 202 GT, one of the first Italian sports cars to hit the road. This vehicle was produced between 1947 and 1952, with a total production run of 170 units. A good chunk of 202s were coachbuilt by Pininfarina. The 202 GT was powered by an inline-four sourced from Fiat cranking out 70 horses, which is a typical power output for a vehicle in the '40s and '50s. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual. The main significance of the 202 is that it set the standard for future sports car design. However, this vehicle wasn't profitable, and Cisitalia ultimately went under in 1963 due to financial troubles. I expect the Cisitalia 202 GT to command at least six figures at today's rates. In my opinion, this car is a work of art, but isn't nearly as good as most Ferraris, any Lamborghini, or some Maseratis.
