Frequently Asked Questions Vol. 3

After a long hiatus, I have dedicated another post to answer your questions about me and this site. Here are some of the ones I received in the recent months:

Q: Do you have any interests outside of cars?

A: I have a few secondary interests, specifically sports and music.

The sports that I pay attention to are baseball, football, basketball, and hockey, mainly the four biggest North American pro sports leagues (MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL). My favorite teams are the San Francisco Giants, Golden State Warriors, and San Jose Sharks. I try to watch my favorite teams live on TV whenever possible and attend at least one game per season for each of them if the opportunity arises. However, my interest in football has been steadily declining for a variety of reasons I don't plan to get into. I don't have a favorite NFL team, but if I had to choose, it would be the San Francisco 49ers. I also follow a handful of motorsports series, but don't watch any of the races.

The genres of music I primarily listen to are hip-hop and R&B. There are many artists I enjoy listening to and others that I don't care for. Unlike car shows and sporting events, I don't usually attend concerts or music festivals.

Below are photos from the most recent sporting events I attended for each of my favorite teams.

SF Giants vs. New York Mets, 6/25/17

GS Warriors vs. Washington Wizards, 10/27/17

SJ Sharks vs. Chicago Blackhawks, 2/1/14

Q: Will you do a face reveal?

A: Most of you who know of this website have a general idea of my physical appearance. For those who have discovered this site randomly and don't personally know me, I like to remain anonymous online, so I don't plan to post any pictures of me on here.

Q: Will you showcase any boats, RVs, or semi trucks on this website?

A: I don't plan to make any boat, RV, or semi truck posts on here. However, I may showcase the Tesla Semi on here once I see one in person. The Tesla Semi is absolutely insane and guaranteed to revolutionize the trucking industry. I have seen photos and videos of cool motorhomes and boats, and have been inside a few RVs. To be honest, I am not good with makes and models of boats and almost all RVs, and would not have much use for either a boat or RV. In contrast, I can easily recognize vehicles that Class B and Class C motorhomes are based on, along with manufacturers of most semi trucks, but don't really know any specific model names of Class B and Class C motorhomes and semi trucks. I have nothing against these types of vehicles, but this explanation is why this website is mainly dedicated to cars.

Q: Have you ever been to a Cars and Coffee event?

A: Surprisingly, I haven't. I would love to attend one, but I am usually not notified of when and where Cars and Coffee meets take place and I am not a morning person. Therefore, it would be more difficult for me to attend one than it would be for some enthusiasts.

Q: Who is your favorite automotive executive?

A: I don't have a favorite exec in the auto industry. There are many good ones out there and I wouldn't say any particular one is better than another. Every auto exec has made their share of excellent and poor decisions, so it would be tough for me to decide which one I think is best.

Q: Will Honda make another Accord coupe?

A: I'm not sure. I hope Honda continues to produce the Accord coupe for many years to come since it is a fun, affordable, and reliable vehicle. It has also had decent sales numbers throughout the years despite mainstream coupes not having much of a market share anymore (in the US market, at least). Since the Accord received a redesign for 2018 and Honda continues to produce the Civic coupe, it only makes sense for Honda to make another Accord coupe.

Q: Should there be more women involved in the car community?

A: Absolutely. I believe that many females aren't interested in cars because the car community is seen by society as a guy thing. More than likely, there are some women out there who want to become car enthusiasts but are afraid to be shamed by other individuals for not meeting the "standards" set for them by society. I encourage more women to become interested in cars and join the car community, but I understand that a significant portion of women simply don't want to, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Click the link below to watch this amazing video explaining women in the car community in further detail. It provides a lot of insight on this specific subject and should serve as inspiration for females who want to become car enthusiasts.

Q: Have you ever thought of driving a car across the country? If so, what vehicles would you consider driving and where would the final destination be?

A: I would love to do a cross-country road trip. However, if I were to embark on one, I would have to plan things out months in advance and make tons of stops, and the trip would take at least a month. Therefore, the possibility of one taking place anytime soon is very, very slim due to my busy schedule. I have narrowed my selection of cross-country road trip vehicles down to five: Mercedes-AMG E63, Jeep Grand Cherokee (preferably the SRT variant), Rolls-Royce Wraith, Mercedes-Benz GLS, and Corvette Stingray/Z06 (C7). The final destination on the ideal cross-country road trip would be either New York or South Florida. My favorite road trip vehicles are displayed below.

Q: Have you ever had any experience working on cars?

A: Yes, I took two years of auto technology class in high school. It was a great class and I would recommend it to any high school student with any remote interest in cars.

These are all the questions I could get to in Volume Three. If there are any additional questions you may have about me or this site, please leave them in the comments section. More great content coming in 2018, so stay tuned.
