Lowriders of the Sharks 2025-26 Season Opener

I attended the San Jose Sharks season opener versus the Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday night, and despite the unfavorable end result, I would not have wanted to be anywhere else that night. More on my personal experience from that game specifically can be found on my hockey blog, CPF Hockey. A pregame festival was held just outside of the SAP Center since it was the Sharks' first game of the season, and this post is dedicated to showcasing one of the main attractions of the Sharks season-opening pregame festival: the classic lowrider show. I tend to feature more European exotics than any other type of car on this site, but I have always been fond of classic lowriders, and the biggest incentive for me to feature these and put this compilation together is the collision of two of my worlds: cool cars and Sharks hockey. In fact, I find many of these lowriders cooler than most of the ones I have seen before, especially in my hometown, due them featuring some Sharks hockey-themed aspects. I was fortunately able to snap at least a few photos of each lowrider on display outside SAP Center before the arena gates first opened. If I had to pick favorites out of this bunch, I would have to choose the 1960s Impalas and the retro Sharks logo as the center of the steering wheel inside the 1986 Monte Carlo.

On a side note, the coolest and most memorable car I saw in San Jose Thursday evening was the first Rolls-Royce Spectre that I have ever seen in person. I managed to get one photo of it; however, the one photo I took of it was not particularly great, and I would rather save my dedicated post regarding the latest Rolls-Royce coupe on this site for when I am able to get more and better photos of one in the future. It may be unlike nearly all other car shows I have been to or normally attend, but this lowrider mini show was an incredible spectacle worth viewing, especially since it combines my top two passions in a unique way. Lamborghini Urus Performante

The Urus Performante is the most performance-focused version of Lamborghini's current SUV. This version was added to the Urus portfolio starting for the 2023 model year and is motivated by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 with 657 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque, the exact same power figures as the Urus S, sending power to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The Urus Performante launches from zero to 60 mph in around three seconds and can accomplish a claimed top speed of 190 mph. Besides specific model-designation badging below the rear door sills, most Urus Performantes are distinguished from other Urus models by their carbon fiber hoods and satin black door handles. In addition, the Performante gains more weight-saving measures and a lower, more performance-oriented suspension and tires over other versions of the Urus, and additional carbon fiber interior trim is available in the Urus Performante.

Pricing for the Lamborghini Urus Performante starts at $273,880. I have previously seen my fair share of Lamborghini Uruses in person, but this may be the only or one of the only Urus Performantes I have seen in person thus far. I spotted this particular example a few days ago, and I was definitely amazed that I happened to stumble on it when I did. While it may not be as great of an all-arounder as the Urus S and Urus SE, the Urus Performante certainly has more of a cool factor than all other Urus models due to its more hardcore, track-focused, and optimal-performing nature. Overall, the Lamborghini Urus is one of the coolest and best-performing SUVs money can buy. Watch this space for more car show content coming up next.

Best of Porsche Club Cars & Coffee (October 2025)

Next up on my car show calendar for October is this month's edition of my local Porsche Club Cars & Coffee. This was definitely the better of the two car shows I attended this past weekend, featuring a significant selection of European exotic supercars and a variety of different Porsches on display. The selection of exotics at this month's PCA Cars & Coffee was not as vast as that from last month, practically all of which I have seen in person at least once before, but was still great to see nonetheless. Like in recent months, my main objective was to take at least a few photos of what I thought were the coolest cars at this event before they could potentially leave the show early and I miss my opportunity, and that mission was accomplished. This, seeing more people that I knew, and meeting more new folks than at the past few months' Porsche Club meets made me nearly ignore most of the lesser cars that appeared at this latest Porsche Cars & Coffee that I have seen many times before, and I was totally fine with that. As per usual, this compilation showcases my favorite cars that appeared at this month's edition of my local Porsche Club's Cars & Coffee in no particular order. One additional supercar that I spotted nearby after the meet concluded is featured here as well, which is a red Ferrari 488 Spider. Overall, it was another great meet with a great atmosphere, and these specific cars & coffees continue to give me every reason to keep attending them for as long as possible.
